Due to these they have their own religions, that they can be identifying. Religions are simply the identification element for humans to give more importance. Actually there are hundreds of religions in the world. But among all, there are few religions with standard records. Being religious doesn't mean you only have to believe in what is being told, but being religious means is the proof of life, nature and the existence of human in the write way. Depending upon the above information now here we enlist below the top 10 largest and biggest religions in the world.



10. Shintoism

  Shinto or Kami no Michi is the traditional religion of Japan that focuses on Ritual practices to be carried out diligently in order to establish a connection between present day Japan and its ancient past. Japanese religion of the outdated times was addressed through the religion of Shintoism. The focal fundamental is peacefulness and love towards every single being. The three primary standards of Jainism are Ahimsha ( peacefulness ), non-absolutism and non-possessiveness. It was founded in 600 BC by the great Hero '' Mahavira ''.



8. Confucianism

 Confucianism also known as Ruism is described as tradition, a philosophy, a religion, a humanistic or rationalistic religion a way of governing or simply a way of life. Confucianism developed from what was later called the hundred schools of thought from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius, who considered himself a ratransmitter of the values of the Zhou dynasty golden age of several centuries before. It is world's largest and Taoist religion which most of the population consist from South East Asia and They have about 7 million followers this is almost 0.1% percent population in the world. Confucianism have four major books of this religion and five classic books which are Holy books of this largest religion during 20th century Confucianisms influence diminished greatly. That is why it is on the eighth position in the world.



7. Bahaism

 The Bahai Faith or Bahaism is a religion teaching the essential worth of all religions, and the unity and equality of all people. Established by Mirza Hussayn ( Baha-u-llah ) in 1863, it initially grew in Iran and other parts of the middle east region. currently it has between 5 and 7 million adherents, known as Baha 'is spread out into most of the world's countries and territories, with the highest concentration in Iran. The followers of this religion are known as Bahai and Babis. The holy book of Bahai people is Kitab-al-Aqdas. The religion also follows the Abrahamic teaching and currently spread across the middle eastern countries and many parts of Asia. Baha-u-llah taught that religion is orderly and progressively revealed by one GOD through Manifestations of GOD who are the founders of the major world religions throughout the history Buddha, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad being the most recent in the period before the Bab and Baha-u-llah. 



6. Judaism

 Judaism is ancient monotheistic Abrahamic religion with the with the Torah and its foundational text. It encompasses the religion philosophy and culture of the Jewish people. Judaism is considered by religious Jews to be expression of the Covenant that God established with children of Israel. Judaism includes a wide corpus of texts, practices, theological positions and forms of organization. The Torah is part of the largest text known as the Tanakh of the Hebrew Bible, and supplemental oral tradition represented by later texts such as the Midrash and the Talmud. Now currently the world Jewish population was calculated about 14.3 million, or roughly 0.2% of the total global population they are situated in Israel, United States Canada, Europe, groups South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. 



5. Sikhism

 Sikhism is a religion that originated in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent about the end of the 15th century. It is one of the youngest of the major world religions. The fundamental beliefs of the Sikhism, articulated in the sacred scripture Guru Granth Sahib, include constant spiritual meditation of God's name being guided by the Guru instead of yielding to capriciousness of mind or psyche, living a householders life instead of Monasticism, truthful action to Dharam being of selfless service to others equality of all human beings and believing in God grace. This largest religion in the world founded in 1469-1539 AD by the Guru Nanak. Now the current followers in this religion are 30 million of total population, which means 0.6% percent. 



4. Buddhism 

 Buddhism is a religion and Dharma that encompasses a variety traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on original teachings attributed to the Buddha and resulting interpreting philosophies. Buddhism originated in Ancient India sometime between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE, from where it is spread through much of Asia, where after it declined in India during the middle ages. Two major extant branches of Buddhism are generally recognized by scholars,Theravada and Mahayana . It's also declared as one of the oldest religion with 500 million followers which are about 7% of the overall world population they known as Buddhists, and the holy book of this religion is Tripitaka meaning three baskets in Pali language. Their practices like refuge, in the Buddha the drama & Shanga, the study of scriptures, observance of moral precepts and others.



3. Hinduism 

 Hinduism is an Indian religion, or a way of life widely practiced in South Asia. Hinduism has been called the the oldest religion in the world, and some practitioners and scholars refer to it as Sanatana Dharma, the '' eternal tradition '', or the '' tradition way '', beyond human history. Scholars regards Hinduism as fusion or synthesis of various Indian cultures and traditions with diverse roots and no founder. This Hindu '' synthesis '' started to develop between 500 BCE and 300 CE. This is the largest religion with almost 1 Billion or more than followers in other world 15 percent of the population which are called Hindus, the main part of the population in India, Nepal, Mauritius and the Island of Bali in Indonesia. And they believe on the books of the Upanishads and Vedas. Hindu patterns or rituals like Puja and recitations, meditation, family oriented, rites of passage and annual festivals.

 Islam is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion teaching that there is only one God ( Allah ) and Muhammad is a messenger of GOD. It's the world's second largest religion and the fastest growing major religion in the world with over 1.8 billion followers which is about 24.1% percent of the global population known as Muslims. Muslims make up a majority of population in 50 countries. Islam teaches that GOD is merciful, all powerful, Unique and has guided mankind through Prophets, revealed scriptures and natural signs. The holy book of Muslims is Quran is ready by all the Muslims and followed by strictly; Muslims are divided into two parts such as Shia and Sunni but Sunni are almost 90% and remaining only 10% are Shia.

Christians make up the majority of the population in 158 countries and territories. They believe that Jesus is the son of GOD and the savior of humanity whose coming as the Messiah ( the Christ ) was prophesied in the old testament. Christianity has played a prominent role in the shape of Western civilization. The holy book of this religion is called The Bible and it is read by most of the Christians. It comprises of two sections added into one: the Old testament & New testament. There are three types of Christian communities; Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism, and Protestantism.
