 Sonu Nigam was born on 30 July 1973. Often called as the lord of Chords and the Elvis Presley of India, is an Indian musician, composer, singer, music procer, recordist, music programmer, live performer and actor. He prominently sings in Hindi and Kannada language films. He has also sung in bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Tulu, Assamese, Odia, Nipali, Maithili and various Indian languages. He has been one of the highest paid Indian singers. He is one of the most versatile singer of Bollywood industry and is considerd one of the most successful playback singers of the history of Hindi film industry.   Muhammad Atif Aslam was born on 12 March 1983. He is a Pakistani singer, song writer and actor. His movie debut was the 2011 social drama Bol. He has recorded numerous chart- topping songs and is known for his vocal belting technique. He is a recepient of numerous Lux Style awards, he also received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2008, the fourth highest decoration given to any civilian in Pakistan based on their achievements. The film Broke opening weekend records in foreign territories taking in 504.70 million ( US$ 7.9 million ), including record collections from key markets in the US ( $ 2.22 million ), the UAE ( AED $ 7.73 million ) and the UK. The film earned $ 720 million ( US$ 11 million ) in just nine days in overseas markets. By the second weekend it has grossed approximately US$ 14 million. Chennai Express has grossed about US$ 16 million by its third weekend, US$ 16.85 million by the fourth.

9. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ( US$ 67 million ) 432 crore

  Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a 2015 Indian Romantic Drama film, written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya, produced by Rajshri productions and distributed by Fox Star studios. It stars is Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. This is the fourth collaboration between Barjatya and Khan after their previous films Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun? and Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Cinematography of the movie was done by V. Manikandan and was edited by Sanjay Shankla. The sound track was composed by Himesh Reshammiya, and the background music done by Sanjoy Chowdhury. The film was released in India and Pakistan on November 12, 2015. It emerges as a commercial success and ranks among the highest Bollywood grossing films, with a gross of 432 crore ( US$ 67 million ) worldwide. The movie was reported to be inspired by the South Korean movie Masquerade, which itself was loosely based on the Novel The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope. The film was also released in Telugu and Tamil versions as Preema Leela and Meymarandhen paaraayo respectively. Critic Aelina Kapoor of Rediff.com gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5, saying that the music of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is well done has a strong traditional flavor. have a Paarivaarik feel and is exactly what the filmmaker ordered. The film revolves around the Gang war between Kabaleeswaran, and Tony Lee, Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Dinesh Ravi, Kalayiarasan, and John Vijay also star in pivotal roles. Principal photography for the film began on 21 August 2015 in Chennai. While filming mostly occurred in Malaysia, some scenes were shot in Bangkok and Hong Kong. The film was released in Tamil along with dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi on 22 July 2016, while the film was released in malay a week later. Kabali was released on 3200 screens in India, of which 2200 in South India. Upon release, the film had the largest opening weekend for any Indian film worldwide. On 18 August 2015, Director PA Ranjith announced on his Twitter page that principal photography would began the following week, which was confirmed on 22 August when behindwoods covered a photo shoot which took place on 21 August at AVM studios in Chennai. First scheduled on the filming started on Vinayagar Chaturthi on 17 September 2015 at the Russian center of science and cultural of Chennai.   Sultan is a 2016 romantic sports drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, the film star Salman Khan as the title character opposite Anushka Sharma. The film focuses on Sultan Ali Khan, a fictional wrestling champion from Haryana whose success career creates a rift in his personal life. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released on 17 July 2015, one day before Eid on 4,100 and 800 screens in India and overseas respectively. In October 2015, the film was broadcast on star gold and became the most watched Bollywood movie in the history of television. 4. Baahubali: The Beginning 650 crore ( US$ 100 million )

 Baahubali: The beginning also known by the initialism BBTB, is an Indian Epic historical fiction film directed by S.S Rajamouli. The film was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni and was shot as the Bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. Thefilm stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamanaah in the lead roles with Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar in supporting roles. The first of two cinematic parts, the beginning is a tale of lost rightful heir of the fictional Kingdom of Mahishmati, who learns about his true identity while falling in love with a rebellious warrior who intends to rescue the former queen of Mahismati. The film was made on a budged of 180 crore ( US$ 27.9 million ) making it the most expensive Indian film at its time of release. The film opened worldwide on 10 July 2015, garnering critical acclaim and record breaking box office success. With the worldwide box office gross of 6.5 billion ( US$ 100 million ), it became the highest grossing film in India and the thirsd highest grossing film in worldwide, and the highest grossing South Indian film at the time of its release. Its Hindi dubbed version also broke several records by becoming the highest grossing dubbed film in India.  PK is a 2014 Indian Satirical science fiction comedy film. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, produced by Virani and Vidhu Vinod, Chopra and written by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. The film stars Amir Khan is the Title role with Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Dutt in supporting roles. It tells the story of an alien who comes to earth on a research mission. He befriends a television journalist and questions religious dogmas and superstitions. The film received positive reviews and at the time emerged as the highest grossing Indian film of all time, and ranks as the 70th highest grossing film of 2014 worldwide. The film has been regarded as oneof the best Hindi films 2014. PK is the first Indian film to gross over more than 7 billion worldwide. It is also the first Indian film to gross 630 crore ( US$ 100 million ) worldwide. It is currently the third highest grossing Indian film of all time behind only Dangal 2016, and Baahubali 2: The conclusion 2017. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 6 2014.  The director who is also editor of the film Rajkumar Hirani, wanted to spend more time on the editing, besides some portions with Sanjay Dutt were yet to be shot. Also the second season of Satyamev `Jayate was to kick off from March. So Amir was not sure if he would be able to promote the PK in June. Hence the makers of film settled for a December release. Finaly the film was release on 19 December 2014, as the 200th Bollywood release in 2014. The film's release was later expanded to 6000 screens worldwide, which included 5200 screens in India and 844 screens in overseas. PK was initially released in 4844 screens worldwide. PK is the widest Indian movie released in the UK 198 screens, Pakistan 70 screens, Australia 35 screens and outside of India 844 screens in over 40 overseas markets. Pk opted to have its box office figures tracked by Rentrack, a United States based company that specializes in audience measurements. The final worldwide gross of PK was 743 crore ( US$ 120 million ).
