The awards are held in high esteem across the industry for the robust reliable and transparent process, and with no external funding or outside influence the integrity of the results is second to none. It is for these reasons that these annual awards as the Oscars of the aviation industry and this year they were presented as one of the Word's largest aviation industry gatherings, the Paris air show. now here we enlist the top 10 airlines in the world 2018.
10. Garuda Indonesia '' Indonesia''
Garuda Indonesia is the national airline of Indonesia. Named after the holy bird Garuda of Hinduism from the national emblem of Indonesia, the airline is headquartered at Soekarno-Hatta international airport in Tangerang near Jakarta. As of 11 December 2014, the airline is rated as a five star airline by the international airline review firm Skytrax. The air carrier was previously known as Garuda Indonesian airways. However, in 2009, the airline undertook a five year modernization plan known as the quantum leap, which overhauled the airlines brand, livery, logo and uniforms, as well as newer, more modern air crafts and facilities and a renewed focus on international markets, which has subsequently seen it consistently rank amongst the World\s top 10 airlines. Garuda was also accredited with having the World's best cabin crew in this year's awards.The airline also operated a budget subsidiary citilink, Which provided low cost flights to multiple Indonesian destinations and was spun off in 2012.

Alaska airline is an American airline based in the Seattle Metropolitan area of the state of Washington. The company was founded in 1932 as McGee airways, offering flights from Anchorage Alaska. Alaska airlines has flights to more than one hundred destinations in the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawali, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba and Mexico. The airline is the major air carrier and along with it's sister airlines Horizon air and Virgin America is part of the Alaska air group. The airline has been ranked by J. D power and associates as having the highest customer satisfaction of the traditional airlines for ten consecutive years. The airline operates it's largest Hub at Seattle Tacoma International airport. It also operates secondary hub in Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, Anchorage and focus cities at San Diego and San Jose. Although most of it's revenue and traffic come's from locations outside of Alaska, the airline plays a major role in air transportation in the state. Delta, which used to cooperate through codeshares with Alaska airlines until December, 19, 2016, is a major competitor to Alaska air in it's sea Tac market. The Alaska air group has been a part of the Dow Jones transportation average since 2011, when it replaced the then-parent company of American airlines of Amr corporation in the Index.

Thai Smile air is the original airline and wholly owned subsidiary of Thai airways. Based in Thailand, it began operations in July 2012. On 20 May 2011, the Thai airways board announced plans to create a new lower-cost airlines, at the time dubbed Thai wings. The creation of the airline was announced by Ampon Kittiampon, the chairman of Thai board of directors, on 19 August 2011. It is planed to began operations in July, 2012. According to Ampon, Thai Smile, is intended to serve the market gap between low cost carriers and full service airlines. The name Thai Smile was chosen from a pool of 2,229 entries in a contest to name the airline.According to an official at Thai Airways, Thai Smile is planned to begin showing an annual profit of about five million Baht within two years of the start of operations. The Smile currently flies to the destination below. The airline will consolidate it's Bangkok operations at Suvarnabhumi airport in January 2017, ending service to the Don Mueang airport.

On 1 April 2008, JAL merged the operations of it's subsidiary Japan Asia airways into JAL mainline operations. JAL had operated all JAL group flight between Japan and Taiwan between 1975 and 2008 as a separate entity due to the special political states of Taiwan.

It was voted Asia' best airline by business travelers readers in 2012. In October, 2012, a joint development deal between bombardier aerospace and a government led South Korean consortium was revealed to develop a 90 seat turboprop regional airliner targeting a 2019 launch date. The consortium would include Korea aerospace industries and Korean airlines.

The company is quartered in the long Island city neighborhood of the New York city borough of Queen's with it's main base at John F Kennedy international airport. It also maintains corporate offices in cottonwood heights, Utah and Oriando Florida. The airline mainly serves destinations in the United States along with flights of Aruba, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago and many more. As of April, 2017 , Jetblue serves 101 destinations in the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. As of June 2017, Jetblue airways flies to 106 destinations in North, Central ans South America, some countries include Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia and the United States. Jetblue is famous for it's comfortable seats and an extremely helpful and friendly crew. The crew was just awesome from their greeting to their smile. The flight is smooth and the seats are amazingly comfortable. It's fleet is primarily configured with just an economy class cabin, however, two cabin service is available on a limited number of routes.

Azul is a Brazilian low cost carrier that flies to about 100 carrier destinations. While the airlines serves largest markets such as Belo Horizonte, Rio De Janeiro, Salvador De Bahia and Sao Paulo, the bulk of it's destinations are smaller underserved markets. It also has a flight to fort Lauderdale and code share agreements with the star alliance and United airlines. On November 24, 2015, it was announced that the Chinese HNA group owner of Hainan airlines, would invest US$ 450 million in Azul becoming the largest single shareholder of Azul. This follows the US$ 100 million investment of United airlines closed in June 2015. It's fleet consists of about 150 planes, including airbus, ATR and Ambraer aircraft. Most of the aircraft are configured with a single economy class cabin, though some planes also have a business class cabin. Azul serves 107 destinations in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, French Gulana, Portugal, the United States and Uruguay plus some other additional locations by means of dedicated executive bus services to the nearest airports.

The oil leak alarm was sounded off when the plane was 2 hours into flight above Malaysia. Singapore airlines flies to more than 60 destinations in 35 countries on six continents. A member of the star alliance, the airline also has codeshare agreement with about 10 other airlines. Singapore flies all wide body jets configured with four classes of service. Singapore airlines suites, first class, business class and economy class. The airline operates three lounges for premium passengers. The Silverkris lounge has locations at 15 airports additionally, Changi airport is home to the private room and Kris flyer gold louge.
